So, I haven't posted a blog in a while so I decided maybe I should let people catch up on my life. Reed and I have been dating for 2 months now...wow time flies. So basically I wanted to do something special and out of the ordinary not like any of our other dates. I got this idea to go "star gazing" indoors and put a whole bunch of glow in the dark stars on the ceiling and lay a blanket down and gaze at the stars. I also wanted to include an activity so I decided to come up with some questions that we could ask each other to better get to know each other. Then of course there has to be dessert or food involved (DUH...do you know me?!?). I wanted to make chocolate covered strawberries but apparently it isn't strawberry season so there was none to be found. I resorted to oreo milkshakes...YUMMMM!!!
This is how the night went down... I had to work till 3:30PM. I met Logan who was going to help me set up the glow in the dark stars. Ok so I used Logan for her ladder but we had fun putting them on the ceiling. and she came up with the questions at work the night before. She is awesome and came up with 40 questions and we put them all in a jar called, "The Jar of Wonders". After all the stars were put up (about 5 packages of glow in the dark stars) we moved the living room around and layed out a blanket and set out the oreos so he would question what they were doing there.
here are the stars...Logan and I:
9PM rolls around... Reed is getting off work...a knock is at the door....I open it and make him shut his eyes. The lights are off and I make him sit down on the blanket and we looked up and all we see is glowing stars. It was such a fun night. I was worried that one might find the idea "cheesy" but who doesn't like cheese. I worried for nothing. It quite possibly might have been the best free date night we have had yet!! I LOVE US!!
