"Being happy doesn't mean your life is perfect. You have just decided to look beyond life's little imperfections."

Our Story

It was the fall semester of 2010 at Boise State University. I was sitting in the classroom waiting for my Theatre 101 teacher. All of a sudden I recognize a tall, blonde haired, blue eyed man walk through the doors. My first reaction was to get all excited and yell his name so he would notice me, and sit next to me. I didn't know him very well, I simply just recognized him from the Institute and figured it was better to sit beside someone familiar than a total stranger. The next couple weeks went by and we had an assignment coming up to read the play, "Death of a Salesman". I was not too excited about reading the play but Reed mentioned that he rented it on Netflicks. I jumped at the opportunity and told him that I would rather watch the play then read it. He picked up on this real fast and asked me if I would like to watch the play with him and then go do something afterwards. I said, "YES". Our first date rolled around and he came to pick me up to go over to his house to watch the play on a projector screen. On the way to his house we carried on casual conversation when his nose decided to bleed out of nowhere. Granted this has never happened since our first date but I will forever remember, I made him bleed. We watched the wretched play and it was the longest two house of my life, Reed even fell asleep a few times. Afterwards, we went down to meet a few friends at the Student Union Building at BSU, but then decided to go hike Table Rock. It was so fun to just get to know each other and explore Table Rock, one of my favorite spots in Boise, Idaho. I never had the intention of liking this boy, it just all happened so fast. After our first date, I found every excuse to see him. We saw each other every day. That next Sunday, after game night, Reed finally asked me to be his girlfriend.

After about a month of dating Reed, I knew that he was the person I was going to spend the rest of my life with. I of course didn't tell Reed about this confirmation and we continued dating. About Christmas Break time, talk about weddings and marriage kept popping up in our daily conversations. Finally, towards the end of January we started talking about cruises and how we both had never been on a cruise and how we both really wanted to go. Right then and there we decided that we wanted to marry each other.

On Saturday, January 22, 2011 Reed proposed to me on top of Table Rock around 7AM with the sun rising in the background. It was the perfect moment at my most favorite spot in Boise, Idaho. The next 4 1/2 months were quite busy with school, work, and wedding planning.

We were finally married on June 10, 2011. It was the greatest day of my life. It was the day that I could see my future with someone standing right beside me throughout the whole journey. We couldn't be happier and we are excited for the many adventures that await us!
