Well, as many of you know I have been living at home while attending school. This summer was a turning point where I decided to move out on my home. Many emotions ran through my head as I made this huge decision, but now looking back on it, it may have been the best decision I ever made. I moved out on July 24, 2010 with Laura Hurst, my new roomie!!Welcome to Apartment 101....
I have learned a few things while living on my own:
- sometimes you run out of groceries and the fridge gets bare
- mini washer/dryers are a pain, you have to do twice the loads it would normally take
- when you come home from work, dinner isn't ready for you
- no one cares if you clean your room or bathroom
- the garbage doesn't take it's self out
-when you come home late one night, no one cares
- I spend a lot more time in my bedroom
- when you are too cheap to pay for internet, you have to use really slow, stolen connections
- the walls are really thin
- nothing is on TV.... ever!!
- sometimes you get really bored
- however, you don't have to tell someone where you are going every time you leave
These are just a few things I have managed to learn so far and I will continue to learn more things as time goes forward. So in other words, I love having my own place. When things fall into place in your favor, you just know that it's meant to be. I can't wait for the many adventures that await!!
